It always is refreshing walk in streets of Japan. Temperature is almost 0°c in winter, however ambience drives me to walk around in clean air, illuminated streets and lamps in restaurants. Japan Street is so clean, managed traffic, colourful street shop are perfect condition for street photography in Japan.
Street photography is one of my interest area along with landscape photography and travel photography. Another reason for street photography is make use of tool which in this is camera. I can go anytime and take picture.
Almost everyone enjoys taking photographs. In Japan, I would venture to say that EVERYONE enjoys taking photographs! Whether it be the camera embedded in modern smartphones or high end digital SLRs, cameras have become an integral part of our lives. And so has photography.
Japan streets are so perfect for photography because of vibrant colors all around, people dressed so well, and streets are very clean. There are countless Japanese restaurants and other food chain as well. You will find restaurants near to stations. Check out my Japan Train and Station Photography to know more about Japan various trains and about stations.

Unlike many other countries, Japan is pretty liberal when it comes to taking photos on the streets. People are walking the streets of Japan and taking pictures for several years now, having said that I have not heard story about any trouble with the cops or anyone else.

Tokyo is a street photographer’s paradise! From the old back lanes of Asakusa to the high end ultra modern streets of the Marunouchi district, there’s never a dull moment for the photographer and I can say, it is the best place for Japan street photography.

But street photography is also very challenging because you can never anticipate the perfect moment. The scene is always so dynamic that you have to keep your eyes wide open, look out for the slightest indicators and be really quick with your camera.
